The article studies the application in Habana in 1855 of a method of homeopathic vaccination against yellow fever invented by a curious personality, Guillermo Lambert de Humboldt, whose method was finally rejected despite the decided support of the governor of the island who was very interested in limiting the effects of the illness on the military. The data used is from a general work on yellow fever published by Nicolás Manzini in 1858 and shows the precarious sanitary conditions prevailing in Cuba at that time.
