Resumen


Este texto presenta un breve recorrido por algunos de los hitos en la conformación de la historia de la inteligencia artificial (IA) en su relación con otras disciplinas en su contexto histórico. Realizado a cuatro manos por dos personas de bagaje muy diferentes, su punto de partida es subrayar la naturaleza discontinua y fortuita de ese objeto que hoy nombramos como “inteligencia artificial”, incrustado en una serie de intermitencias políticas, económicas, materiales y teóricas. Nuestro objetivo, además, es poner en contexto la transformación que sufre la inteligencia artificial en el trayecto desde su concepción como sistema de resolución de problemas a la compleja manipulación de la máquina de medios. Un contexto marcado y elaborado por una amplia bibliografía que ha ido, paulatinamente, definiendo el contenido de la IA, sus implicaciones y lo que cabría esperar de ella.
