Diego de Santiago, an alchemist at «El Escorial», is a key figure to understand the late influence that Paracelsus had in Spain. This work shows how he differs from the medical authorities of his day and traditional medicine. On the other hand, Galenic medical thought and Paracelsus' chemical Medicine intermingle in the Extremenian scientific work.
