Abstract


In this paper are analyzed the theories of Descartes about the sensorial perception and the painful perception, and also the neurophysiological mechanisms on the genesis of the pain exposed in The man's treaty. This work has been considered by some authors like the first European textbook of physiology. To explain the human physiology, combined philosophical principles and mechanical hypothesis.
