The first great historiographic stage of the Spanish dentistry corresponds to the years 1895- 1945, period in which characters like J. Martínez, J. M.ª Martínez del Castrillo, Mariano Riva, Ramón Pons and Juan of Otaola are analized, as the qualified elements in this odontologic stage.
