Las imágenes en la ciencia. Conocimiento, arte y visualidad

El objetivo de este artículo es ofrecer un repaso por algunos de los hitos historiográficos que han marcado el estudio de la cultura visual de los saberes científicos en las últimas décadas. Empezaremos examinando algunas de las preguntas y enfoques metodológicos que han presidido la investigación sobre las imágenes de la ciencia. A continuación, nos detendremos en algunas disciplinas científicas particularmente inclinadas al lenguaje y las expresiones visuales. Acabaremos nuestro recorrido con un apartado dedicado a los actores que han protagonizado esas disciplinas y contribuido a su desarrollo mediante el uso de las imágenes.
