Abstract

The work is based on three recent novels: Los verdes de mayo hasta el mar by Luis Goytisolo, Luz de la memoria by Lourdes Ortiz and Fabián y Sabas by José María Vaz de Soto. The autor analyzes the role and meaning of sexuality as a literary theme in present-day Spanish fiction, especially the metaphoric and symbolic value which sexuality acquires when compared to the artists and writer's creative act. Thus a whole universe of subjectivity and intimacy of a greater or lesser psychoanalytical bias is revealed to the reader.
