The melancholia adust in Albertus Magnus

The authors of this article hâve made a detailed analysis of the work of Albertus Magnus, becoming aware of his original response to the pseudo-aristotelian problem of melancholy formulated some five-hundred years BC. They, have used three primary texts, rich in notions and commentaries on the subject. They point out that the spiritus generativus of the-nigra bilis is an absolutely original creation of Albertus Magnus.
