Teorías de la tierra y sistemas geológicos: un largo debate en la historia de la geología

Abstract

During the second half of the XVIII^th century, the first theories about the origin and history of the Earth were issued. The interpretation that considered Deluge as a decisive factor in the modeling of land surface was the most debated until the issue of the Catastrophism and Actualism geological systems in the XIX^th century. Norwadays, the polemics about methods and systems in the History of Geology is still open between geologists and historians of science.
